Amanda Holden's sister critically ill following vehicle crash

Amanda Holden's sister critically ill following vehicle crash

It's been reported overnight that Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden is keeping vigil at her sister Debbie's side as she fights for life in hospital.

She eventually moved to Koh Lanta in Thailand where she worked as a diving instructor and now splits her time between Cornwall and the Far East.

A source informed The Sun: "Amanda was distraught".

Amanda previously feared for her sister's safety previous year, when Debbie became trapped while climbing Everest, following an quake in Nepal.

She travelled to Cornwall from London to be with Debbie, 44, with whom she is close.

'It's been a very hard 48 hours and the whole family have been pulling together and trying to keep positive, ' they told the paper.

Thailand investigates four cases of suspected Zika-linked microcephaly
The reported cases were in residents of Prentiss County, who recently traveled to the island of Grenada in the West Indies. In addition, the state said there was one non-resident of Florida who contracted the homegrown virus in that county.

She and Amanda had become very close in adulthood, forging their bond as they coped with their father Frank's drinking and his 1976 divorce from their mother, Judith. They're only a year apart and there's something about them together which is actually special.

When Debbie revealed there was no transport in her area, emotional Amanda shouted: "I love you!"

Her sister, who escaped the natural disaster in Nepal in April past year, is in a critical but stable condition in intensive care at a Cornwall hospital. "[She] is through the worst and is now in a stable condition and expected to make a full recovery", Amanda's representatives told Metro.co.uk on Saturday.

She returned to Nepal on a fundraising trip in April of 2016. "Now we've just got to get Debbie through this".

A year later, tragedy struck again when her son was stillborn after seven months of pregnancy.

Afterwards, she vowed to have no more children.
