Donald Trump's former accountant says billionaire 'wasn't brilliant' with taxes

Trump was dismissive of the Times' story in his Pueblo remarks, saying the media was "obsessed with an alleged tax filing from the 1990s".

"He was a business man", Trump's Campaign Manager of Washington County, Ginger Bigelow, said. "I mean, think about it, my opponent insulted Miss Universe", Clinton said.

"What gives him (Trump) hope is she's isn't getting that enthusiasm among African Americans that Obama got", he said.

Hillary Clinton will try to capitalize on tumult in the Trump campaign Tuesday as she hunts for votes in the Philadelphia suburbs, while Donald Trump will shore up support in Arizona. He later said that he had "brilliantly used" USA tax rules to his advantage.

Clinton has repeatedly called on Trump to release his full returns, as presidential candidates have done in the past.

But that didn't stop Clinton's ME campaign from localizing the tax revelations in a press release that equates Trump's reported losses to what close to 60,000 Mainers paid in federal income tax two years ago.

Ex-beauty queen hits back after Trump attack
Machado has endorsed Clinton and has become one of her most prominent surrogates since Monday's presidential debate. He was a bad person with me", she told Cooper. "How dare he blame her and say that he helped her?" - Donald J.

"After years of failure, she complains about how I've used tax laws of this country to my benefit", Trump said. More now see her as having the right temperament (59%) and being prepared to be president (63%) than at any time during the campaign.

Mr Trump's attempt to shift blame to Mrs Clinton comes after two days in which the candidate and his surrogates have portrayed his avoidance of paying income taxes as a master stroke of business acumen.

It was late Saturday night when The New York Times released what many before them had tried to do.

"There's no way I can see him winning at this point because of the financial issues", Ruhf explained, "Number one, he claimed to be richer than apparently he really is".

The Trump camp hasn't admitted that the candidate avoided paying taxes for 18 years, nor has it denied it. Trump's numbers have held steady on these measures and continue to be negative. "Donald Trump will be releasing his tax returns at the completion of an audit", Mike Pence, Trump's running mate, said at the beginning of September.

Trump surrogates, including former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie have said the returns show Trump's skills as a businessman and savvy tax payer.
