Donald Trump: 'I'm not flip-flopping' on immigration

Donald Trump: 'I'm not flip-flopping' on immigration

In an interview with CNN on Sunday, Trump's campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, was desperate to deny that her boss was reversing his immigration policies in any way.

Republicans usually count Texas as a lock early in the general election campaign, but presidential nominee Donald Trump will be in Fort Worth Tuesday for a fundraiser and in Austin for a rally.

Lydia Blaha, a spokeswoman for Trump's campaign in Colorado, said he will not hold an event in coordination with the fundraising trip, as first reported by Univision and other media outlets. Hillary Clinton's campaign aides and critics of Trump have urged voters to focus on the concrete promises and proposals that Trump has made rather than opaque rhetoric.

During his primary campaign, Trump assailed all his Republican rivals for being too weak on immigration. Trump told Fox News on Monday that he is "not flip-flopping" but is exploring how to find a "really fair, but firm" plan to address illegal immigration. It has to be very firm.

"They're working on their policy at this point in time, it has to be very strong and very firm, and has to be fair or humane", she added.

Trump said he would separate the country's undocumented immigrants into two groups: The "bad ones" who would be kicked out of the country as soon as he takes office and "everybody else" who would go through the same process that the Obama Administration is now using. John Podesta, Clinton's campaign chairman, said in a statement that Trump hasn't changed and people should look at his first TV advertisement, which began airing on Friday, as proof.

After violence, more MQM offices sealed in Pakistan
The MQM supremo while addressing "Hindus" allegedly said, "We could not recognise the British conspiracy [to divide the subcontinent] and we became part of it".

In addition, during a phone interview with Fox News, Trump revived his line of attack on Clinton's longtime aide, Huma Abedin, whose husband, former NY congressman Anthony Weiner, resigned his seat in 2011 after a sexting scandal. "Well, I'm going to do the same thing". The nominee declared he would build a wall between the United States and Mexico, and he promised to mass deport illegal immigrants.

"If true, this is a cynical attempt from Donald Trump to distract from his unsafe policies".

"You're going to have a deportation force, and you're going to do it humanely", he told MSNBC in November 2015. We have a lot of people that want to come in through the legal process, and it's not fair for them.

After insisting for more than a year that all illegal immigrants "have to go", Trump met a newly created panel of Hispanic advisers and asked for other ideas - making it clear that his position is not finalised, according to two attendees.

But his plan for building a wall on the U.S. -Mexico border is still on the table. Who knows? Just assume that, whatever you've heard to the contrary, he privately agrees with your position on the issue. But there's little doubt, I think, that President Trump with a Democratic Congress would be more likely to pass some form of legalization than President Clinton with a Republican Congress would.

But Robin Luich, 52, a stay-at-home mother from Medina, Ohio, said those who've broken the law should be permanently barred. The only thing that matters in a presidential race is public perception, and we will only know how the last few days affected the feelings of the voters when the new polls are released at the end of the week. "Donald Trump will be Donald Trump and what's clear is that he's unsafe for the Latino community", Renteria said.
