Overwatch Season 2 Changes Skill Ratings, Reward System

Overwatch Season 2 Changes Skill Ratings, Reward System

In the upcoming season, the game will introduce a new rating system that has a scale of 1-5000. There's also the addition of a new map, which is set in Germany to keep players engaged. Instead of the current Skill range of 1 to 100, Overwatch Season 2 will have a range of 1 to 5,000. Competitive points are gong to be multiplied by ten, an loot such as golden guns are going to cost ten times more.

Blizzard has finally confirmed they will be implementing something they promised for Overwatch.

Kaplan and his team hopes that this mitigates the disappointment felt by players over "losing" their rank and never gaining it back, a bitterness widely felt to be unfair for many factors outside of individual skill (such as leaver penalties, getting grouped with smurf accounts, bad coin flips and so on).

If you are not familiar with Overwatch, it is a terrific multiplayer first-person shooter that has been making some big waves in the video game industry. On the official post on Reddit, user EroticDuckButter offered a nice point summary of the updates.

The numerical system from 1-100 was an odd feature. Rewards players will receive based on their ranking are listed here. However, this number misrepresented how well players were actually performing.

Skill rating tiers: Skill rating numbers will still go up or down, but that number will no longer define you.

According to Blizzardwatch, players who are below the Master and Grand Master skill rating will not get demoted.

Former Trump staffer sues campaign for
The lawsuit says Bordini resigned from the campaign in March. "He had a gun pulled on him at work". The lawsuit was filed by self-described "loyal Trump campaign staffer" Vincent Bordini.

Having a relatively tight-fisted system also meant people would cling to their highest achieved Skill Rating like a man overboard would a lifebuoy.

Control maps like Nepal will always have a victor.

First of all, let's rejoice at the fact that they've gone ahead and taken out the controversial coin-toss mechanic that came at the end of a tied game in competitive mode.

Kaplan emphasizes that this does leave the door open for actual ties, no matter how rare.

If one team gets bonus time, the other team gets bonus time too. The minimum time you get for another push has been pushed down to one minute instead of two. That will be decreased to 1 minute. Kaplan noted ties are unsatisfactory to players, but Sudden Death seemed less so. We see that "60" and a lot of us go back to our school days and go, 'Oh what did I get a D on this?

If you're an "Overwatch" player who's getting pretty exhausted of the somewhat broken and open-for-improvement, then this news is for you. Blizzard step up to help them and they found out a new message read that says; "The answer isn't over your heads, it's behind you".
